Armbruster Engineering: Hello Tobias, congratulations on your 10-year anniversary at AE. That's truly impressive. Could you tell us a bit about your career path at AE?
Tobias Strube: Certainly, thank you very much. My journey at AE began during my mechanical engineering studies. I became aware of the company and completed an internship here. After also working as a student assistant, I had to decide whether to pursue my master's degree or gain professional experience. Since the diverse work at AE brought me a lot of joy, the choice was quickly made.
Armbruster Engineering: Your career at AE sounds very versatile. You've worked through various departments and are now in sales. How did that come about?
â
Tobias Strube: I started as a project manager and looked after initial clients. Thanks to my experience in setting up the ELAM software, I was also deployed as a technical contact person at trade fairs. It turned out that I'm not only technically proficient but also have a talent for sales. At that time, the sales department was just being established, and we built it up together.
Armbruster Engineering: Field sales might seem old-fashioned to some. What's your take on that?
Tobias Strube: For some industries, online demonstrations might suffice, but at AE, we offer much more than just software. We also provide engineering services to plan, design, and manufacture, for example, fixtures for assembly or even complete assembly systems. Therefore, on-site personal consultation is often essential to find tailored solutions for our customers.
Armbruster Engineering: After 10 years at AE, you're clearly still enthusiastic. What do you particularly value about our company?
Tobias Strube: I particularly value the continuous innovation of our products, the diversity of our customers, and the strong team cohesion. Therefore, I look forward to many more years at Armbruster Engineering.
Armbruster Engineering: Tobias, we are also delighted that we can shape the future development of Armbruster Engineering together with you. Thank you for the interview!
Tobias Strube: My pleasure!
