Screwdriving Technology: Precision Every Step of the Way

Manual Assembly vs. Automated Assembly – Part 4: Screwdriving with Precision

Screwdriving is one of the most widely used fastening methods in assembly. However, not every screw connection requires high-end EC screwdrivers. That’s why we rely on a cost-efficient solution that combines precision and documentation: the SMART CORDLESS SCREWDRIVER (SMACO 5).

These modified cordless screwdrivers can be fully integrated with the ELAM system, enabling precise monitoring and documentation of each tightening step. As a result, quality assurance becomes an integral part of the assembly process without driving up costs.

For more demanding applications, we are currently developing the SMACO 8, capable of handling higher torques. Combined with the ELAM system, this solution offers complete control over screwdriving processes — from basic fastenings to complex operations. For high-end EC screwdrivers, we prefer Stanley (ec tecs) due to their excellent price-performance ratio.
